Beach House 1

This project integrates an Emirati family beach house in Al Dab’iyyah, Abudhabi in the UAE. The courtyards within the beach house plays a role in circulation as well as the division of the programs between public and private spaces. This allows for the circulation to take place in between the courtyards, creating a thresh- old between the 2 zones (public and private). The use of large windows, including skylights from the courtyard allows the visitors to interact with the outdoor and it creates more views to the outdoor space such as the beach and the sky. This allows them to have a connection to the outdoor space.
