This design arises from the desire to increase solar gain in the interior spaces. This is beneficial as it provides natural lighting but also the provision of sunlight improves health and quality of life. Sunlight enters the interior spaces; however, it is filtered by the dense ghaf trees planted on the periphery of the site.
